Prayer of the unborn from Psalm 139
Oh, Lord,
You know me.
You’ve always known me.
You designed me in your mind before anyone anticipated that I would come into being.
You placed me in my mother’s womb, with every part perfectly designed for maintain life.
You wanted me to live–that’s why you created me.
You have known me before time and in time.
You know where I’m going and where I’ve been.
You will always know what I’m thinking and what I’m feeling,
You will be here for me when I descend into failure and when I rise in triumph.
I bear your image and your likeness,
and you are thrilled by my existence.
You have personally chosen my hair, eyes, face, and size.
You have given me innate talents, personality, and perspectives.
You have made me unlike any other person in history.
I have life because you said it was possible, and you made it possible.
As I grow up, I will want to find you and know you
because you created a longing in my heart for you.
You are my Creator, Savior, and Defender.
You have already spoken destiny over my life,
called my spirit to yourself,
and pronounced me worthy.
In the name of Jesus, who came to earth in my same form–
Amen.
