You can have my heart
Oh Lord,
Healer of hearts and restorer of souls,
You can have my heart.
All of it.
Help my heart to long for the things you care about,
the people you love,
and the mission you gave us.
Protect my heart from longing for the transitory happiness found in this life.
Protect my heart from pining for wealth, status, acceptance, and prosperity.
Fill my heart with your love so that I can love people the way you do.
Most of all,
Satisfy me with your love.
It’s so easy to cling to the desires I have in this life
when you have such a grander life planned for me.
Cleanse my heart from selfish desires.
Renew my heart from disappointment.
Steady my heart from fear.
Prepare my heart for resilience.
Protect my heart from deceptive strategies of the enemy.
My heart is yours.
I trust you.
It’s yours.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
